Captain Robert Scheer is the heart of Rob's Guide Service in Pompano Beach, bringing a lifetime of experience on South Florida waters to every outing. A proud native and USCG-licensed captain, Robert also carries the discipline and dedication from his background as a firefighter and paramedic. That combination of local knowledge, safety-first professionalism, and genuine passion for fishing creates an environment where guests feel confident, comfortable, and excited to be on the water with him.
With years of hands-on experience in the diverse waters around Pompano Beach, Captain Robert has mastered a wide range of fishing techniques. From kite fishing and live baiting to trolling, reef and wreck trips, and even deep drop excursions, he knows how to adapt to conditions and give anglers the best possible experience. His approach is always tailored, whether guiding a beginner learning their first knot or a seasoned angler seeking a challenge against fast-running pelagic species.
Fishing with Captain Robert isn’t just about the catch—it’s about the moments. His expertise gives guests the chance to target some of Florida’s most iconic species, including Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Tilefish, Amberjack, sharks, and Barracuda. Beyond helping you land impressive fish, he ensures the memories last with photos and stories that reflect the fun and energy of each day on the water. Guests often leave with more than just a cooler of fish—they leave with experiences they’ll talk about for years.
